Who this covers

This site is operated by SMB Startups, a fractional operating practice run by Carlos Franco from Fort Myers, Florida. It is one of several sites the practice runs for different service lines. This policy covers this website and its form. Work performed under a signed engagement is governed by that engagement's own agreement.

What is collected

When you send the form: your name, company, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you write about your situation. Nothing on the form is required except a way to reach you.

When you browse: standard technical information any website receives. This site runs no analytics cookies and loads no third-party scripts. The host, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs.

What it is used for

Your information is not sold, rented, or used to advertise to you elsewhere.

• To reply to you and, where there is a scope worth pricing, to send you a scope and a price.
• To keep a record of the conversation so you are not asked the same thing twice.
• To meet legal obligations and to protect the site from abuse.

Who else sees it

Information may be disclosed if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of the practice or of others. Beyond that it is not shared.

• Form submissions are routed through an automation service, n8n, running on infrastructure the practice controls, into a customer relationship system, GoHighLevel, so the conversation can be kept in one place.
• The site is hosted on Vercel.

How long it is kept

Form submissions are kept while there is a live conversation and for up to three years afterwards, so the context is there if you come back. You can ask for deletion at any time and it will be done, except where a record must be kept by law.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what is held about you, have it corrected, deleted, or no longer used. Email carlos@smbstartups.com. Requests are answered personally, usually within a few days, at no charge. SMB Startups is below the size thresholds at which most state privacy laws apply, and honours the same requests regardless.

Children

This site is for businesses and the people who run them. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and no information is knowingly collected from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and the change will be described here.
