Keap, the original small-business automation, set up without the tangle
Keap, once Infusionsoft, built the idea of small-business marketing automation before most of the others existed. Its campaign builder is still deep. It also has a reputation for tangled campaigns that nobody dares touch, because the people who built them left years ago. A Keap setup is often an untangling.
Answered personally, usually the same day. If a CRM is not what you need, I will say so.
- I have inherited and cleaned up Keap campaigns for clients. I have not run my own companies on it.
- Scoped in writing, priced before work starts
- Your account, your data, documented as it is built
- Not affiliated with Keap. No resale, no commission.

What Keap is good at
First
Campaign automation with real depth: branching, tagging, timed sequences.
Second
Built-in invoicing and payments for a business that sells directly.
Third
A long track record and a base of businesses that have run on it for a decade.
Where it is the wrong tool
A business that wants a modern interface and native texting and calling on day one. Keap has added these, but a newer bundled platform does them more simply.
Who should pick it
Businesses already on Keap with campaigns worth keeping, coaches and consultants who sell programs, and anyone whose business is built on email sequences.
What a Keap setup covers
A campaign audit first, because most Keap accounts have years of accumulated automation. Then tags and the contact structure, the campaigns worth rebuilding, pipeline, and the payments side. Sometimes the honest scope is a migration.
Asked about Keap
- Our Keap campaigns were built by someone who left. Can you fix them?
- Yes. The audit maps every campaign, what triggers it, and what it does. Most accounts have half that can be switched off. The rest gets rebuilt clean and documented.
- Should we stay on Keap?
- If the campaigns are the business, yes, set it up properly. If you are using it as a contact list with an old interface, a move is usually cheaper than another year.
- Does Keap do texting?
- Yes, in current plans. It is workable. It is not the strength of the platform the way campaign automation is.

One form. Read by the person who would do the work. If a CRM is not the answer, you will hear that first.
